Genial would-be old bloke interested in mediæval history, British art, science, music, cats, old telly and Doctor Who.
Without a pause, definitely. It's my version of counting sheep.

Now 3, because they said on the radio it contained a unique remix of Two Tribes. (It was actually the picture disc mix, but still fairly rare back then.)

I always assumed it was an age thing. Born after, say 1970 and it would have been a fundamental part of your adolescence, but much older than that and not only were you outside the target audience, but you'd also remember the real stuff like The Changes and Children of the Stones.

That's brilliant! And explains so much. 🙂

Double Deckers used to have a sublime biscuit-and-raisin base, but now it's sodding rice krispies all the way. I still haven't got over it.

I think about this picture more often than I should.

I inherited some of these from my older cousins, and fifty years later my children were still playing with them.

I've not found it since, despite scouring YouTube for years. The other Bura & Hardwick musical animations from this series were released on VHS over thirty years ago, but Kije wasn't included, sadly.

Isn't it everybody's? Pure winter evening cosiness.

Hey, that was going to be mine! ♥️

Their animated Lt Kije made me fall in love with classical music, and is singlehandedly responsible for my Radio 3 obsession.

Sometimes at a charity shop the match is so uncanny that I accuse my wife of surreptitiously giving away my collection...

It was a worrying time when my 13-year-old discovered Educating Marmalade. I had a nasty suspicion that he was taking notes...

Season 20 is my favourite. Very few people agree with me, but I don't care. And yes, these collections definitely help us appreciate stories we didn't necessarily notice properly at the time.

I enjoyed them all at the time, but was a innocent then, before I discovered fandom. 🙂 The King's Demons is another kitsch but beloved guilty pleasure.

I love it. It may be considered the runt of the Season 20 litter, but it's still wonderfully entertaining, and it's never looked better. ♥️
