even if snape is described as white in the books you do realize adaptations make changes? they could think that the actor is the perfect casting based on his performance alone. you associate authenticity with race rather than with talent and merit. that’s on you and maybe something to think about.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a real living human being while Severus Snape is a wizard from a fictional story. Martin Luther King Jr. fought for equal rights for black people while Severus Snape’s race had literally nothing to do with his character. what are you even talking about?

tbh your original message is worded like you do take issue with it and do care. might want to word yourself better as i’m sure you’d hate to be grouped with those that do take issue with someone black being casted because those people are being racist.

why does it matter even if this is the second adaptation? i grew up on the harry potter movies and dont have an issue with the characters being of different ethnicities as their original movie portrayal. do you think your brain is not capable of comprehending change or are you maybe being racist?
