👍 Future works should ideally satisfy all the steps outlined to ensure confidence in the metabolites found to be significant for a specific cancer . They should clearly indicate their limitations by specifying the workflow steps completed and those that require further research.

🤔 The analytical laboratories working on MS-based metabolomics for clinical applications should consider that they are providing crucial data for medical researchers, being aware of the need of providing robust results to cancer research.

💡 With the main objective of favouring the standardization, we propose a workflow for the establishment of cancer biomarkers which includes different pivotal steps and issues that must be carefully evaluated for maximizing robustness and reliability on the proposed biomarkers.
