I've done quite a mix of things in tech, strategy, comms, public affairs. Currently doing churchy stuff, surprisingly.
I think that if it will calm everyone down they should just say sorry.

The trouble with getting more than one person in for balance on Trump and Jan 6th is that the ones who think Hilary Clinton is one of the Lizard People 'fight like hell' with the ones that think she's a cannibalistic satan worshiper.

There's a lot to like in this, if you're minded to, but the thing that always strikes me is the fundamental and dramatic change in attitude compared to what has dominated the last 1,000 years: no longer are we trying to kill each other over our differences.

It was inevitable that you'd say that.

I am so very grateful that @roberthutton.co.uk is here to explain Nigel Farage. Other news articles tend not to have these useful explainers in between the quotes, which can leave you confused about what is and is not racist.

The inevitable 2/3rds point of any article, the title of which includes a question; especially if that question is "Should we be worried?"

I also loved this. I have first-hand experience of Wendy's eye-roll, and it's impressive. I'm pretty sure I induced it once or twice.

This is one of the best bits. Yes, if civilisation collapses, the people who are expert in survival and the application of violence are likely to do much better than the people who currently do well because of their bank account.

That’s rough, sorry. Here’s a video of Holly on the dog sofa, dreaming of her next visit to the vets. I hope it’s soothing.

I do like this speech from Ben Franklin, btw, who wrote his memoirs a few hundred metres up the road from where I am now.

The community do face massive challenges, and housing is a big part of that. We visited several sites across Birmingham where the Church Development Agency were working with local communities to develop a vision for regeneration. One of the most exciting things I've ever worked on.

This is Shuranjeet Singh, standing in the allotment at St Michael's C of E Primary School in Handsworth, Birmingham, where he is a governor. I'm sure that Robert Jenrick can immediately tell by looking at him that he's working tirelessly on integration. IIRC, he has a Masters from Oxford.

A game on my system just updated, and required 76Gb of additional free space in order to do it. That's mental. Reminded me of when I thought "Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi" was excessive, requiring seven 3.5" high-density floppy disks (i.e. 10Mb, or approx 0.0132% of the update)

Intuitively I agree. I'm immediately reaching for my Economist style guide for the definitive response. I'm shocked to discover I don't know where it is. It's a needle floating in the haystacks of our shelves. So instead I'll leave this here from an article in The Economist on the best punctuation:
