And in February 2024, The Globe and Mail ran an article with this headline: “Vancouver police officer is directed to remove Star of David patch from uniform.”
They did not include a photo of the patch. I found one. This is what the patch *actually* was.

Thinking about the day I spent in Bethlehem. Somehow all of the holy sites were basically empty, and the city was so serene. I bought handcrafted olive wood stuff for the nonnas (like what the Pope had on display this year), and met this kitten in the back of the guy’s shop.

The first photo here shows work I did on Palestine in 2024. The second is work from our news editor, @alexcosh.bsky.social. This doesn’t even include most of what freelancers have written.

I spent almost all my time at work in 2024 writing about Palestine. In 2025, I will keep pushing boundaries with new projects.

Another win for the Israel lobby!
This year they have gotten three of their-long time wishes on terror designations, with the IRGC, Samidoun and now Ansarallah being added to the list.

Israel has killed more than 45,000 Palestinians in its ongoing genocide, but the Toronto Star chose a photo from the funeral for an Israeli soldier killed in Gaza.
This fits within a trend of Israeli perpetrators being humanized while Palestinians are reduced to numbers, at best.
