New series of Shetland begins tonight - a drama that always gets big ratings despite rarely being talked about by media folk. (Well, I have made it my pick of the day, but you get what I mean). #Shetland

Interesting to compare the number of views on the dramas uploaded to ITV's YouTube channel. What do people want to watch? The Hack? Trigger Point? No...decades-old episodes of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.

Just finished The Long Shoe by Bob Mortimer. It's another of his 'everyman out of their depth'-style tales. Not the same main character as in The Satsuma Complex or The Hotel Avocado, yet it may as well have been! But Bob's tone of voice is, as ever, a pleasure to be around. #TheLongShoe

New mystery drama Art Detectives begins tonight - similar vibes to The Chelesa Detective but seen through the prism of paintings. My pick of the day from Radio Times. #ArtDetectives

Really interesting memoir from Ben Elton - despite his fertile mind, he's taken so much flak. Often, unfairly. But this is an undeniably terrific read that covers great swathes of pop culture from the past five decades.

Been listening to the audiobook of Ruth Jones' and James Corden's story of how they made Gavin & Stacey. Such a lovely, big-hearted listen. They make each other laugh and cry throughout and I'm unashamedly, thoroughly enjoying it. #GavinAndStacey
