Having better ideas, it turns out, is a mountain on its own.

Currently the most beautifully orchestrated piece of scrap paper in my inventory.

I usually suck big time at value sketches - I do them, with full knowledge that I will absolutely disregard them throughout the process.

This is me trying to do better.

My anxiety monster is one of constant medical self analysis - always watching always warry.

I've always struggled a lot with color.
This study turns me a bit more optimistic about what might be possible.

2024 has been a great year when it comes to painting and god damn I'm looking forward to continue that energy in 2025.

Show me your favorites of the last year - would love to see some.

Two of my favourite pieces this year: monochrome, acrylic ink-wash paintings for fictional book covers (one can dream, right?)

Two years ago, my friend's dad visited Nepal to climb the Ama Dablam. While successfully doing so is impressive enough, the real deal here is that he was also documenting the process for a charity event that later gathered a respectable sum of money to go to the organisation ChildVision Nepal.

Acrylic ink, digital

This one definitely didn't turn out the way I wanted, but it was a nice opportunity to experiment with digital textures.
The process involved fun and creative steps, such as cropping the frame by literally sawing pieces off the canvas - might have been a first.

Inspired by the short story "A memory of wind" (Rachel Swirsky) and one of my favorite #paintings I did this year.

The story is a retelling of the Achilles myth, from the perspective of Iphigenia, daughter of King Agememnon and a real treat to read (+ freely available).

Always a treat to see your works pop up on social media. And everyone I talked to, who took your smart school class is gushing about it, thought I'd mention that too :)
Here's an acrylic ink painting from last year that I am quite proud of — cheers

If I didn't paint this myself, I'd have a lot of lovely things to say about it. But as it stands, I feel a bit stupid complimenting myself. I'll say as much: I'm rather proud.

Hi Aaron, congrats on the 3k.
I'm an Austrian artist, working traditionally with acrylic ink.
Hope there's something that speaks to you :)

Hi I'm Dave! No shop to be shared, I'd just be happy if someone looked at the works once in a while :)
cheers

Every artist secretly thinks they are also a designer.
And since, more often than not, that's not true, all the cool and fancy type design here was done by my girlfriend, who clearly is such a designer and more importantly, I clearly am not. You should see me in Indesign, you'd cry.
