GDPR and data controller laws will apply to Epic here because we are in the UK. I suspect this will not go well for them if enough people say they want their data removed from their databases. What a mess.

Without opening it up it is hard to tell but if the motor coils have a fault it is very dead unfortunately. If it has a surge protector that has failed it could be fixed though.

Building your own using something like TrueNAS on a Raspberry Pi 5 or similar might be the cheapest option.

I have a second hand Synology that I lightly hacked to stop it complaining about non-approved components. It is currently limited by the mechanical disk speeds on my 10Gb/2.5Gb network, and that is good enough for me. Its processor is woeful though and it cannot transcode.

Well for my autistic kids anything that would help them pass history or biology exams and they will read every word on every notice. I realized this might be the reverse of what would appeal to anyone else. They would also want to go when no one else was there.
