Also videos of him wrestling the gun away, and a video interview with his parents.

There are multiple mentions and photos on the NYT noting his name and that he’s being regarded as a hero.

Almost 100% weirdly irrelevant “what about” from people who obviously didn’t even skim the article.

I don’t know why NYT even bothers doing thorough and informative stories like this, anymore.

I don’t know exactly why I like this, but I do.

I like it too. I think it’s spending a little too much time treading water, but it’s a great setup and there’s lots they can do with it.

“The claims that the U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas, nooses or other extremist imagery as prohibited symbols are categorically false. These symbols have been and remain prohibited in the Coast Guard per policy,” Adm. Kevin Lunday, acting Coast Guard commandant

Sounded like maybe an astrophotography joke

Or, “The graveyard is full of people who had the right of way.”

Suggestions like these aren’t blame shifting… they’re just self preservation tips.

What machine did you use?

I’ve been told to look into commercial and signage models, though I think they’re often not spec’d quite like consumer tvs. Maybe something to look into?

I see no evidence that they canceled important and time sensitive stories to report this.

They’re reporting the NTSB final report, which was released yesterday. There’s no journalistic problem here.

It made me think the same thing. Probably from RLMs Plinkett reviews.

Neat. I did something like this with a 3 color eink and an esp32, where a pi running elsewhere generates the image from a cron retrieval of rss feeds, weather, and a comic. I just cut some beveled mats and threw it in a picture frame.

Ford should have been spending this sort of effort on producing a vehicle with a reliability score above a 2.

Congrats. Reminds me of an online game of sorts that I used to play called mod-x. It was good fun. You had to get through simulated hacks to get through levels. Looks like it’s gone now, which is too bad… I don’t think I ever quite got to the last level.

What does the laundry sensor do?

Thanks!

Pardon my ignorance, but why is that? Is adsb somehow causing issues?
October 9, 2025 at 9:27 PM
It’s pretty clear about this being an opinion piece.

What a weird exercise. Airpods have never been, and likely never will be, user serviceable.
