This furlough thing is starting again to feel like the covid days. Lots of baking. Today I made two apple cobblers with crumble topping. Picked up the apples while enjoying the Shenandoah Skyline Drive this past Sunday.

You all liked the French Bread I made earlier in the week… So I now present the Cinnamon Raisin Walnut Bread I made today. Omg. Toasted with a smidge of melted butter. Heaven!

For those of you interested. Here is my wife making the “fake” vomit for her high school biology students to test. This vomit needs to have sugars, starches, and no proteins. We giggled the whole time making this slop.

I was oddly amused by running head first into the reality of getting older. This is my actual expression trying to read the instructions, as well as the instructions I was trying to read. #GettingOld#NeedReadingGlasses

I’m making stuffed peppers tonight for dinner. I used to cut the tops off and put the filling into the pepper. Now I cut the peppers into “nacho chips” and top the peppers off. Family loves it 100 times better. Easier to serve and eat!

I picked up this gem at Barnes and Noble over the weekend. It spans decades, 80's and up! It's like an anthology. A Gen-X dream. So much nostalgia. I remember enjoying so many of these comic when they were originally published.

My wife is a High School Science Teacher. This is the Respect Agreement that her students helped to create. I had it turned into a poster and mounted. It’s pretty great. Accountability is a very good thing. :)

After 25 years together and celebrating an anniversary today, what do you get your teacher wife that just started a new school year?
Some flowers, a card, and commercial grade 15’ surge protectors so her students can charge their chrome books. One less thing for her to stress about. :)

I had to go six rounds seasoning this thing. This was the last. Two hours out here in the heat but this thing looks good. Once the smoke burns off, I am done and ready to use this baby! Who hoooooo!
