Grim reading indeed. It’s also not just the young sucked into these platforms and we don’t seem to have any prescriptions to get people out.

This does seem like the solution if St Pancras is full. Just need to loosen the tunnel rules - train length / separation etc and security theatre at stations to make competition truly viable.

It’s just another source of income and should taxed accordingly at receiving individuals marginal rate.

Great story. It’s stuff like this that creates ‘the country is going to the dogs’ vibe. Government needs to quickly legislate on this and Westminster Bridge vendors etc to get quick wins and vibe change

Haven’t left but have moved everything possible over to Bluesky. Still some folks I follow only on X. Only use ‘Following’ as ‘For You’ become a complete cesspit.

Agree. This needs to happen ASAP, especially in developed mayoralty like London or Manchester. Can be used to drive transport investment.
