Researching global warming. Fact checking. Wind & solar seem to be based on propaganda & do far more harm than good. I'd like to be proven wrong.
The answer is to be
1) the number of panels at 15% capacity factor &
2) the amount of land.
That's all.

Ok. Here's a simple calculation:
(please do it & let me know)
"How many solar panels needed to replace a single 1GW nuclear plant based on "actual" power produced, not capacity & how much land required? (based on a 15% capacity factor)".

Question: How are solar panels manufactured?

Forced myself to read some of it.
"3 million hectares of land (the same amount currently used by oil and gas production) could fully power the entire country’s electric demand virtually in perpetuity."
Seriously?
Is this a joke?

Solar Alliance? That's pure propaganda to protect their interests.

Overrated? Wind & solar require absolutely massive amounts of land to produce any appreciable energy. Solar is often installed in forests & deserts BTW. The environmental damage is staggering.

Start with the land use impact.

Go ahead. Prove me wrong. No propaganda though

"To make way for wind farms, Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) has felled over 17 million trees since 2000. This is equivalent to more than 1,700 trees per day".

How many forests & deserts have been destroyed already by these wind & solar developments?

How many deserts have been wiped out from all this "green energy"?

Aren't wind & solar developments wiping out nature & wildlife on an increasing scale worldwide? How is any of this a smart thing to be doing?

I often wonder what the planet will be like covered in solar panels. That's better than cutting down forests, but who wants to see solar panels everywhere?

They need to wake up to do what exactly?
How much of nature has been wiped out by wind & solar so far? Stop the stupidity now while anything is left alive.

You mean act decisively by destroying more nature with wind & solar? The most idiotic thing to be doing.

What a bunch of nonsense. There have been no green energy breakthroughs whatsoever.
Wind & solar are old, destructive technology with only clean inputs - the rest is an environmental nightmare.

Depending on wind & solar will fail. You need an actual green energy breakthrough & not destroying the land filling it with industrial apparatus.

That's propaganda. China's burning tons of coal to make EV's in order to make lots of money & they don't care one bit about the environment.

I've never heard any propaganda spread by oil & gas companies but constantly hear it from those promoting wind & solar.
