Back from retreat and digging through the emails and messages... grateful for the privilege of taking space to reflect and pray as part of the job. It's a gift most don't enjoy and really does help with perspective and endurance.

No change there then!

Spent the evening watching Gladiator II.

It's certainly not subtle, but really enjoyable and on a grand scale.

The problem is I saw Wicked at the weekend and it's immense - almost nothing I've seen this year is as joyous, touching or adorable.

Poor Gladiator II didn't stand a chance!
