There were erroneous reports, earlier tonight, suggesting that the mayor has fired the chief during a meeting with her.

A blackout hit nearly all of Puerto Rico today as the island prepared to celebrate New Year’s. More than 1.3 million clients are in the dark. It could take up to 2 days to restore power which may’ve been caused by a failure of an underground power line.
