Stubborn Youpooper with lots of money
The DC games are phenomenal, especially Batman 2. Thats where LEGO started rly messing with open world and it WORKED. such a fantastic game.

also yeah Marvel is generally a lot more focused on humor then DC is, but I think that's where Lego Batman shines, it constantly subverts expectations

I dont think it got worse tbh, LEGO Marvel 1 is my favorite one of all time.

I will always be a fan of clever 4th wall breaks. Some of the highest quality humor when done correctly

For sure, some franchises dont work QUITE as well. I think the BEST examples of LEGO humor blending SEAMLESSLY with a franchise is LEGO Marvel, Star Wars, Batman, and Incredibles. Indiana Jones is a SUPER close honorable mention

BEST EXAMPLE EVER IS LEGO AVENGERS

The cutscenes are made primarily of SPLICED LINES FROM THE MOVIES, and they SOMEHOW STILL MADE THEM FEEL FRESH. ITS UNBELIEVABLE. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KMK...

tbh I think they're both equal. The old games perfected the visual gags that made sense to all ages, and with the newer games having voice acting, they made it tie in BEAUTIFULLY

Seamless transition. I still think Lego Marvel 1 and 2 are some of the FUNNIEST games in the entire series

Stuff like this just cant be done in other media. Its timeless, and will ALWAYS hold up.

It doesn't rely on any trends or relevancy to be funny.

TT Games rly did pull a magic trick with LEGO humor.

When a humor style is SO perfected that you dont even NEED WORDS to get it across... thats LEGO humor for you.

Some of the old games humor holds up against the new stuff and all it had was facial expressions and props
