Very sad to hear of the passing of Ken Dryden. He and his Cornell teammates were very kind to me and to my brothers when my father, the team doctor, died in 1969. (That's me on the right, in my hockey prime.)

Wonderful performances by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra today! The guest pianist, Seong-Jin Cho, put on a display of virtuosity the likes of which I have never seen. The piece he played -- Prokofiev's Piano Concerto no. 2 -- is not my cup of tea, but, wow, did he ever nail it!
