Hoping for some #WordPress help.

Back in the days of the old editor, you could look at commonly used categories and tags.

In the new editor, that still exists for tags, but not for categories.

Does anyone have ideas on restoring that capability? I was hoping that there's a flag to restore it.

I cannot read any stories about Automattic or the WP Foundation, or official WordPress contributions without getting angry these days. Knowing that it's all fucking Matt Mullenweg getting his way like a billionaire fucking baby, and getting to play the victim to enough sycophants at the same time.

Reading about @automattic.com talking to @reckless.bsky.social and not having critical questions answered, like perhaps "show us the community statements that you're referring to before you started your one-many and all of the stuff he unilaterally controls campaign"

Tumblr is hanging on for dear life. Matt “photomatt” Mullenweg has fired nearly all of the staff (everyone who’s left is fairly new so there’s minimal institutional knowledge) and has personally harassed at least one trans woman both on tumblr and off when she left.

I'm a little disappointed that I'm not on any of the even more predatory and exploitative social media to be able to tell Matt Mullenweg @wordpress.org to shut the fuck up publicly.

This is a beautiful website that demonstrates a way of being online that connects us as people.

Love songs, paired with comments of love, longing, and loss that appear with those songs.

I'm a #WebDeveloper who enjoys making simple and fun things that I can share with others. I love to learn and to teach. I have been doing this over two decades, and I'm trying to refocus myself lately. I'm not entirely sure what that means yet. Let's find out!

Matt Mullenweg has become so disconnected from the #WordPress community that everything that he is doing personally and with #Automattic is making him more odious to the open web every day. He is now trash that needs to be dumped.
