We're a rural county, so before going after our dairy farmers, Gloucestershire's Conservative County Councillors should remember Single Gloucester cheese has Protected Designation of Origin and can only be made in Gloucestershire on farms with Gloucester cows.

📋 Just responded to a planning application in Cheltenham town centre. It proposed converting commercial property into residential, so I reminded planners of the "Agent of Change" principle.
The developer is responsible for ensuring adequate noise insulation against late-night noise from extant uses.

🚕 This evening's licensing committee was nearly four hours long and heard three challenging taxi licensing items.
⚖️ I also have an action to write to the government about the unacceptable delays in licensing appeals being heard by the Magistrates Courts.

I attended two of the graduation ceremonies in my role as Deputy Mayor of Cheltenham, it was amazing to see so many happy graduates and their families, so glad to have been there!

Councils must follow the laws made by Parliament.
I have tried to get Ministers to change the law, but to no avail.
Like the previous Conservative government, the current Labour government have declined to even review this legislation.
