On balance I favour l auk ... eg shape of head and size. But looked different from nearby razorbills ... hey ho, need a closer, clearer image

I admit not a great, so far away. But l auk 20 cm in length, c gull 40cm, razorbill 40 cm. Winter plumage comparisons attached. Hard to tell...

Also lots of white on head, tail up v auk like. Lots of RazoR bills nearby, v different.

Compare with common gull on lhs, expect auk to be 40-50% size of gull, razorbilll about same size as common gull. So size for little auk about right.

1st Little Auk for 2025, about mile or so off Musselburgh sea wall ... a white speck! Always worth checking.
