Similarly, Mark Hertling made a great point on Bullwark podcast last night - we actually dont have the military capacity to invade Greenland because we rely on our NATO allies for "regular" sub zero fighting force. Also what does an invasion mean - we go and occupy Nuuk?

Its striking to me that it appears that the GOP and all its various mouthpieces and bootlickers have landed on something that's easily disproven by video. Its no coincidence they're all saying the same thing from Vance on down.

The interesting through line is Roger Stone. In his warped and diseased mind, he saw Trump as the successor to Nixon and to achieve what Nixon failed to do because a lot of the norms that held during Watergate seem quaint now.

What is missing from this piece is another element to litigation - the cost. Someone with lots of $ can gum up the works with a good attorney. Someone less fortunate will probably just either give up or lose.

There's a very good book from 2020 that does a very good job describing the Stephen Miller origin story including calling into Larry Elders talk show as a 15 year old and how he sees Trump as a father figure since, similarly, his dad screwed over his family and stole the family real estate business.
