New Month, new update. Book 2 is about 75% edited now. I have updated the database with Book 2 and Three information. The map has been updated with the next two kingdoms. Preplanning Book 4 has started today with the hope to start writing the first draft later this month. The work always continues.

This last month was busy, with finishing the first draft of Book 3. Book 2 is about 67% edited. @worldfantasy2025.bsky.social was amazing and I talked to quite a few people. Great pleasure meeting @adrianmgibson.bsky.social in person after following his work for some time. Back to work now.

I know. Earlier than I ususlly post. I pushed myself to finish a first draft of book 3 before my holiday. Mission accomplished. 192k draft in its ugliest state that will not see the public domain. Editing can wait a little while.

However, I will endeavour to see this to the end. Then comes the task of editing and updating my personal database with details for the map that will be in book 3. Also the details for new characters and adding to the old ones. A process I do enjoy, but a daunting one at times.

Well, here we are again, another month. How time flies. Between family vacation and another one upcoming, I have been trying to finish the first draft of book 3.

I will admit I have been delaying it a little, mostly due to being reluctant to say goodbye to another character.

It is that time again. Slower month in the writing department, but I am now on the last three pages of script for the first draft of book 3. Hopefully, by mid-September, it should be finished.

Book 2 editing is progressing and will be ready when it passes further scrutiny.

New Month-New update- Book three of the series is still being worked on. Only 9 more pages of material to work through, so the first draft could be done in a few weeks time.

Book two is still being edited but progress is good. The aim is still to release later this year.

When reading I find joy not just from the story but following individual characters. Their struggles, hopes and dreams, what they believe and fight for. How did they end up where they are.
I realise too, through my own writing that characters are the heart and soul of a story.

Monthly update- Book 3 is still a wip. Aiming to hopefully finish the first draft by the end of this month. Then comes the editing part.

Book 2 is still being read through at the moment, before feedback reaches me to make any changes/suggestions to that draft.

Latest update- writing wise the past week has been slower with more of a focus on ideas for further on in the final quarter of Book 3's first draft. Book 2 has finally been fully edited and has gone for a first read, with a select few to see what changes/polishing need to be undertaken.

Today was the milestone for book 3 when you realize how far you have come since starting this one end of January. 100k words now written in a first draft, but still a fair amount of the pre-planned script to go through. I blame discovery writing for letting my mind follow the characters haha.
