He is still a wealthy man - that's the point I was making. Someone tried to downplay facts - use the fact that he is wealthy rather than arguing that the average person could have that too.

3 million dollars in assets is way above what the average person has. If the average person was able to accumulate that wealth then the average wealth in the USA would be $3 million. He is a wealthy man. That is the only point I was making.

Based on the average wage in the USA ($66,622)and the average cost of living ($3,500) according to a quick Google search, it would take 121 years to accumulate $3,000,000 with zero extra expenditure.

It's still a significant amount of wealth in comparison to average wages. The difference with Bernie is that he understands that fact and has a little compassion. A rarity in a politician.

It was faked when he ran the first time. It's believable enough to have happened but it did not - apparently. There's plenty of real stuff out there - we don't need any fake stories to form an accurate opinion of him.
