My Microsoft Account has been hacked and I’m locked out of all my files on OneDrive. I cannot change my Bluesky password because when I do it opens Windows security to authenticate me which sends a confirmation code to my hackers. What can I do to secure my BlueSky account?

A member of our family had their car stolen recently which was really upsetting. It led me to ponder on the value of insurance. Is it worth it? #Insurance

Terrible news - the South Koreans must be horrified by the prospects of a return to military rule. This is what you get from electing a populist president. He is exhibiting all the signs of authoritarian rule. #Fascists #popularism

Why doesn’t the BBC challenge the NFU claim farmers only make 0.5% return on their capital when land prices have risen at an average of 5.5% pa over the last 100 years? #farming #IHT #farmland #newsnight

Why is the value of farmland so much higher than its economic return from farming! Could it be
• it rises in value at an average of 5.5% pa
• this gain is untaxed
• before the budget it could be inherited without paying tax
• farm subsidies average over 75% of net farm income

Over the past 100 years England farmland values have returned 5.7 per cent per annum.
That's 2% more than inflation.
Won't IHT discourage speculation and tax protection reducing that rate of growth and lowering the cost of food production? www.savills.co.uk/landing-page...

When King Charles ‘shuffles off this mortal coil’ will his estate pay inheritance tax?

Farmers have hoarded land for too long. Inheritance tax will bring new life to rural Britain

“… introduction of estates duty in 1894 … the non royal dukes … still own as much of Britain as they did then…”

Exemption from inheritance tax is pushing up the price of farmland and delays the transfer of farms to a younger generation ready to invest in a changing future #inheritance-tax There are better ways of supporting the rural economy than tax exemptions.

Joining Blue Sky but concerned that we are increasingly divided into silos. My preference is for progressive thinkers who are here but I regret losing challenging voices from other perspectives who are not moving here from X-Twitter, which I can no longer bear to support.
