The audience it serves, who are also its owners. That audience has a right to expect a high level of accuracy and professionalism in the product it receives, and that level wasn't met. Malpractice is malpractice, even when the patient on the operating table is a Jeffery Dahmer or Donald Trump.

A humiliation is something that's felt, and there's no real evidence they feel it. Disgrace, though, is perceived by those around the person who has disgraced themselves, whether or not that person is aware of the gravity of what they've done.

It's like all that taxpayer money wasted on bulletproof vests when the vast majority of police officers never get shot. Vests should be supplied only to those who will be. Imagine what could be done with all the money this would save.
