I enjoyed the halftime show and I like Kendrick Lamar but I understand he or that style of music is not their thing. I wish we as people would get better when we don't like something just saying, "I didn't enjoy that, but maybe it wasn't meant for me."

So true! The "Savior Complex" for us as pastors can be strong and it is unhealthy for us and the churches. It keeps us from trusting God, serving how we are uniquely made, and takes away from the priesthood of all believers
Never underestimate how much you are doing by not doing anything.
Especially for those of us who are in ministry who carry with us the perception that we have God adjacent powers.
The Church is in a new world.
In order to change the expectations of pastors requires not meeting them.

So true! The "Savior Complex" for us as pastors can be strong and it is unhealthy for us and the churches. It keeps us from trusting God, serving how we are uniquely made, and takes away from the priesthood of all believers
I really enjoy playing videogames but I am awful at the ones where you are fighting some monster and you have to quick pull up the menu to eat a special item, then quickly switch to a spell which you cast, then dive out of the way while pulling up your inventory to pull out special ax, etc...

Don't be confused this has absolutely nothing to do with Christianity based in Jesus, but he wants to eradicate any type of ridicule that would be aimed at Conservative Evangelicals bowing down to the idol of Trump and "Christian" Nationalism.
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast announces that he's signing an order directing AG Pam Bondi to head a task force "to eradicate anti-Christian bias"

I am reminded that Pastor/Author Brian Zhand once said everyone is being discipled by someone or something the question is by who and to what are we being discipled? I believe right now my chief task as a pastor is to let Christians know what it truly looks like to follow Jesus #BeUMC #Jesus
