Scruffy get!

Conventional on the left.
What sort of a tip/ferrule arrangement on the right?
It's a fiberglass cue, can't it have a brass ferrule?

Why is it the most racist claptrap I overhear is on the bus to and from town?

"Your hot date's arrived!"

You may not believe me but there is such a thing as good and bed frozen chips, good & bad wedges, roasties, ready-made Yorkshire puds...the list goes on.

Could you imagine a purge of right-wingers in the UK Labour Party?
June 27, 2025 at 8:46 AM
A governing party which throws money at defense but seeks to cut disability benefits is not one I can support.

When you have £5 to your name, you buy bread and milk.
It's not quite biblical, but it ain't far off.

An under £5 bottle of red wine from Lidl. Argentinian Mendoza Malbec. 12.5% alcohol.

It's great. I've paid 15 quid for far worse.

If you're someone who feels they need a drink, for stress reasons, or whatever, and money is tight, it's good there's stuff like this available.

Over the hill 70s pornstar or 1920s Texas oil baron?

If you play snooker or pool, and own a cue, how much would you pay to have an expert stick on a new tip?
Around the UK, around the world, what's the norm?
You can buy a decent 2nd hand cue for £30/40. Is a tenner for a re-tip OK?
Most guys I know wait for a tip to fall off or disintegrate anyway.

Headache from too much lager yesterday.
What do you do today to improve things?
Cup of tea, paracetamol, pick up where you left off?

Let's hear it for Yorkshire pud!

I think English men have grown up watching too many Westerns.

Baked bean teas, not for me.
April 22, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Looking forward to my baked ugly spuds.

Salt & pepper, butter, cheese, Worcestershire sauce...😋

Faded the "beard". 3 weeks is too early, I dare say.
This probably means, from past experience, it's days are numbered and a change of image is coming on.
I'm 57 ffs, acting like people care. I suppose I care. Maybe that's enough.
April 18, 2025 at 9:58 AM
I don't like to see people I care about age, and age badly, look withered and drawn. It would help, not necessarily if it came with an explanation, then at least an acknowledgement. Don't get me wrong, folks aren't obliged to give health updates, but they should recognise the concerns of others.
April 18, 2025 at 9:07 AM
Gaslight me at your peril.
I will make you furious.
April 6, 2025 at 10:48 AM
If you have a beard trimmer for doing your neckline and fading longer beards, and another more precise one for stubble 5mm or less when you're rocking that look, does this make you a vain bloke?

Don't answer that!
It is cheaper than using a barber every few weeks, though.

Charity shop purchase.
I can't help thinking these should be on the feet of a young person.
I always knew I'd age very badly.
March 30, 2025 at 9:07 AM
Let's bring back the 1980s.
The age of (not so) innocence.
March 25, 2025 at 6:59 AM
The West Country butter I've bought from Lidl has sea-salt crystals running through it. It's nuts, and it's great - none of this slightly salted nonsense.

It's either dressed for jujitsu, or a weekend laze...
