A guy. #NUFC ⬛️⬜️ HWTL
I think this is a reasonable course of action because of recent actions by the UK government, particularly the proscription of Palestine Action, a nonviolent civil disobedience group. I don't want to live in a country where people can be tracked and arrested for showing support for them online.

Nobody has the right to establish an ethnostate in someone else's home

A real shame the bill passed but thank you for taking a stand on this, if only more Labour mps had done the same

Korean production so I'd guess the only english-speaking actors that the producers know would be dubbing actors

In a way I kinda like how it adds to the weirdness of them, like they exist in a totally different reality

The guy is awesome but there comes a point where making such a big deal over winning a single primary becomes a bit embarassing for us

It was, yes. But Arafat couldn't have accepted the final Israeli proposal, the 2nd intifada would have happened anyway with the amount of land given away. It would have made any Palestinian state effectively subjugated to Israel
June 30, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Well Wikipedia is reporting the different accounts of what was said and the sources of this page are pretty varied, so I think it's valid here. Even with the more conservative reports I think that had Arafat accepted it would have caused even more violence in the annexed regions
June 30, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Basically there are conflicting accounts but Israel proposed annexing somewhere between 8-13.5% of the west bank + continued military presence + total control of airspace to allow a Palestinian state to exist. It wasn't a very serious proposal

True but they obviously didn't turn it down because they didn't want it, they turned it down because the proposal involved huge annexation and transfers of sovereignty in the west bank.

To be honest I don't think this discussion is productive anymore, we can agree to disagree from this point

And bringing this back to the chant, can't "death to the IDF" only be antisemitic if you believe the IDF to belong specifically and uniquely to the Jewish people?

Which seems to be to be an idea rooted in ethno-nationalism
June 30, 2025 at 2:14 PM
But it didn't begin in 2018

Its the denial of right to return, the segregation in the west bank, restricting land ownership and free movement, education disparity, the blatant enthonationalist language in government, all justified by concerted demonisation of Palestinian and Arab people
June 30, 2025 at 2:05 PM
I don't think you have. Do you think Israel is an ethnostate or not? If not, why is it constitutionally defined as belonging to Jewish people? Can you answer without referring to any other countries?
June 30, 2025 at 1:27 PM
You're deflecting again
June 30, 2025 at 12:55 PM
I'm glad to hear you think all of that.

I'm sorry for using strong language earlier, I feel very strongly about this.

But I don't understand how you can deny that Israel is an ethnostate? It's written into the constitution and has always been the foundational goal of Zionist nation-building
June 30, 2025 at 12:28 PM
You're deflecting away from Israel a lot. I think that's because you feel ashamed of it on some level.

I don't know if you're Jewish or not, but in case you are, Israel does not define you. Netanyahu's crimes are not yours and you do not have to share his guilt.

You think the UK is an ethnostate?
