That’s certainly one way. It’s primarily done through open market operations at FRBNY, and through Fed loans to member banks. Our use of ‘printing money’ in this thread referred to the multiple methods the government can use, not the literal creation of paper currency.

Happened with my wife’s ticket (not mine) *after we were on the plane* but before the door shut. They threw her* off before the door closed. Insane.
