80 years ago today, my uncle witnessed history as a tail gunner looking for downed pilots along the Japanese coast. When the pilot saw the cloud he radioed his crew, “I don’t know what the hell that is, but we are getting the hell out of here.” They were about 40 miles away. His letter home.

Why is a Boeing P-8A flying circles at an altitude between say 1500 and 4000 feet. Yea, Lake Michigan is close, but this is just strange.

Took these pics today of strawberry blossoms (we have at least 13, along with one actual strawberry 🍓), and the rose bush has many blooms. I live along the Indiana/Michigan border. Climate change, anyone?
