Many doctors use AI as a transcription service. I don't know if "the majority" do, but there are many who do. They're trying to imply doctors are using AI to figure out why the tummy hurts, which is dishonest

I'm not sure what's meant by doomerism in the context of my comment. I've read your analysis and I mostly agree. However I'm left to wonder how such massive risk is being undertaken like it's just a given ai will be such a huge source of profit, especially current capex. They dumb? All of them?

Agree the math doesn't add up but it's so inflated that I can't help but wonder if the companies don't have a financial trap door built in to forgive all the debt they're passing around in the name of "keeping America competitive with China". It's all so unsettling there has to be a catch

Amazon, apparently.

Also, there's generally just a dummy survey that links to a donation page. Scam up and down.

I used to subscribe to the Trump list and I think I got scrubbed for answering the free response questions with requests for more info on Q. Regardless, the amount of "maralago dinner giveaways" and other exclusives that clearly just don't happen was remarkable

Well if you used AI to help you with the more menial tasks there you'd increase your throughput and maybe art could be your job one day. Like I started this conversation with, artists will pick up these tools as a way to more rapidly prototype and produce, so you should too!
May 3, 2025 at 1:29 AM
In the flow of that conversation you're implying your job is an artist. Seemingly every kind too. Never met a poet/filmaker/painter/dancer/sculptor/musician/clown
May 2, 2025 at 11:53 PM
I asked you about your job and you said artist. What else am I supposed to think?
May 2, 2025 at 10:39 PM
Oh an artist who does "all mediums of art" to make a living. You are so full of shit dude 😆
May 2, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Wow that's bad. Horrible things going on here in addition to the power damands of grok inference (I suspect that's what this is for). The repo I sent you yesterday show huge gains in efficiency are being made so that inference and training takes much less power. Things are very quickly changing
May 2, 2025 at 2:54 PM
That's interesting because AI tools like any other tools don't substitute for imagination, they do they work you'd rather delegate. What medium of art, if you don't mind me asking?
May 1, 2025 at 3:18 AM
It's done wonders to my productivity and my ability to quickly learn new things. I'm a software dev though so your mileage may vary depending on what your job is.
May 1, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Definitely don't. Would encourage you to learn to use AI tools in your workflow. World's changing and you're gonna be a part of it!

Tough break. Here's to hoping your other iron clad declarations stay true for more than a month. Hats off!

Search was product long before AI crypto and social media.
April 16, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Got it. So search was just a big hustle for auto-correct and mining or something?
April 16, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Ah right , 10 minutes ago ai meant "deep learning", now it's "anything a computer does". You're doing the clown progression meme right now
April 15, 2025 at 10:59 PM
Oh like 25 years after the Google ipo? Yea I guess you're right. Public sorry.
April 15, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Ahh you didn't mention ads in your first post, good call out. How the hell search is for social media and AI I have no idea because it predates both. You just had a short sighted knee jerk post. No sweat. Shake off and move on
April 15, 2025 at 10:42 PM
And On demand video streaming, search, self driving cars, buying anything you want from your couch and having it delivered tomorrow, porno, and devices to access all this in your pocket. Those too...
April 15, 2025 at 10:23 PM
That's how the "ip theft" you're whining about works. The model learns stylistic traits during training. It then "recognizes "them during inference

the pattern here is the establishment Dems blame cycle where you line up all the voters who sat out and say you, you, you, you,...., and YOU... You're the reason we lost. Instead there's a group of powerful insiders who ran a candidate that no one thought was worth their time. They are to blame.
