Usually I'm helping pull out the non-native Buckthorn from Rolston Community Forest (Captain Cornelius Park) so it was a nice change to join an army of Hamilton Naturalist Club volunteers today who planted 300 trees in the area we cleared out. The trees were provided by the City of Hamilton.

@joeycoleman.ca, Sonia Brown admits in a Facebook post that she does not live in Ward 8 but incorrectly states that she is eligible to vote in the byelection. This is not true according to the Municipal Election Act.

One of the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds (female) that keep visiting our garden. Apparently, this is the time of year they fuel up for the upcoming journey south.
