You're right, it wasn't good enough and we need structural reform to the planning system at statutory level. Perhaps a bill that undoes the harm caused by the TCPA

It's correct. Planning Bill should have been rammed through Parliament within months of taking office, especially given their huge majority. Instead it languished in committee for ages and the results won't be seen until after next election.
