Exactly. Voters said, "you've had your two years, it's not fixed, now we'll cripple you electorally"
November 19, 2025 at 5:14 PM
... and yet voters were like, THAT'S FAR ENOUGH
November 19, 2025 at 4:29 PM
As in understand it, Obama signed the ACA in 2010 and the voters rewarded him by making him a lame duck for the next six years, so lesson learned there I guess

You're right, it wasn't good enough and we need structural reform to the planning system at statutory level. Perhaps a bill that undoes the harm caused by the TCPA

Didn't housebuilding reach a peak of over 200k per annum in 2008 just before austerity, after which it dropped off enormously under the Tories?
November 19, 2025 at 10:29 AM
Isn't this the guy who got lost at Heathrow
November 19, 2025 at 10:05 AM
What reforms should have been introduced which the Tories would have been unable to reverse?
November 19, 2025 at 10:03 AM
No, they didn't and it was a mistake. I'm saying that's the reason why the quantity of life in the UK pitched downwards after they got elected.

Not that surprising when so few of them spoke up about the forced reapplications under the Ukrainian asylum scheme

It's correct. Planning Bill should have been rammed through Parliament within months of taking office, especially given their huge majority. Instead it languished in committee for ages and the results won't be seen until after next election.

Planning Bill sorts this
November 19, 2025 at 4:48 AM
It wasn't sustainable because the Tories got into power and introduced austerity www.lse.ac.uk/news/latest-...
Austerity spending cuts cost average person nearly half year in life expectancy
The research found that life expectancy dropped by an average of five months for women and three months for men.

Ah yes, the very much non-toxic language of "removal of as many unfounded applicants as possible with more detention and the use of electronic tagging"
November 18, 2025 at 12:23 PM
Tell me why
November 17, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Tell me why?
November 17, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Which is why Labour won an astonishing majority in 2019, when Johnson foolishly promised to get Brexit done
November 17, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Which core voters? The ones who wanted Brexit or the ones who didn't want Brexit?
November 17, 2025 at 9:05 AM
Seems like you're feeling pretty psyched
November 16, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Can't believe this is happening on Al Gore's internet
November 12, 2025 at 11:44 PM
I mean he's not but ok
November 12, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Planning Bill is a banger tho
November 12, 2025 at 3:50 PM
