We have GREAT views of the fog! Then again, it's typically when we are being completely engulfed by it... 😆

Having been in that garden many times, I can attest to its power of calm. It's a truly lovely and inviting space that rewards the people lucky enough to be invited in.

Have a good weekend, and I hope Vegas is not too hot for your SF-based constitution! 😄

I occasionally walked by that restaurant when I worked near Union Square. Never went in and are, but I always enjoyed the old-school diner vibes it gave.

The timestamps are nonsensical. Why does the year change? Why does time go forward and backward in unequal increments and at different rates?

There are several different cultivar colors for that hybrid - yellow, pink, purple, and white. It looked like some of the yellow cultivars (sunshine, lemon chiffon) to me, but the purple cultivars are quite different.

It is so difficult to identify complex hybrids from a photo.

You're "atomic art" has become very polished and refined! I love this Escher-esque lizards piece!

Is it Laeliocattleya Coastal Sunrise?

Complex hybrid with a lot of similar LC, BLC, and RLC cousins...

Looks related to Marc's Brassia - the flowers are 14-15 inches, and it is nearly always in bloom!

Marc shared a photo of it on Instagram for you. 😀

"Validation" is a subjective process to look only for data consistent with your previously made decision.

"Evaluation" should be an objective process to methodically assess proposed solutions and gather data to guide a decision about whether or not they are valid.

Identifying bias is a real job.

Wait until they hear about foldable paper maps, road atlases, and TripTiks from AAA!

I'll be leading a panel discussion "Behind the Interface" where we talk about the often unseen UX work that happens before, during, and after product design - the research, strategy, explorations, questions, decisions, systems, services, and more that are necessary to make a product successful.

Now I just need to find some Calochortus to admire. They don't grow here so close to the coast.

But it's a cabin with a view in Tahoe! You can just go outside for a walk! 😁

Bumble bees (Bombus californicus) feast on our ceanothus and nap in our California poppies!

Now do bananas.

Do they even eat bananas? With a knife and fork? From which end do they peel it? Do they peel it? Is it green, yellow, lightly spotted, heavily spotted, brown, or black mush? What varietal of banana is it? Is it imported by criminals or corporations? Who pays the banana tariffs?

😆
