First time in 1000 entries I've seen this (a clear descriptor of a vagrant Black person). This man (very likely) was thought to be about 70 years of age, and found in Wednesbury in the West Midlands in 1832.

And again! (I get this all the time in this little project). Always hand it to the volunteers who transcribe this all (though increasingly it is being automated), but yeah they're not looking for very long....

Always check the original scans, never just lazily scrape the transcription data if there's a photo image to check. Doing it right takes ages but the overall quality of your dataset will be so much better.

Correct, fun to read, and hey look, advice that Labour should follow like right now if they want to continue to exist as anything other than a sick joke about UK elections.

Galloway. No. Never ever ever and you can hand your leftwing card back if you think otherwise. And no I don't care if he's "affiliated" or not. Pure poison.

Since I'm about 75% euro stocks in my little but pleasing growing ISA, I'm going to bask in the warm glow of having my amateur hunches confirmed for a minute.

The best chapter of this is on Rosa Luxemburg, the worst chapter of this is on Nietzsche. In between those we have passable apologies for Bentham and I guess Rousseau, and I'll admit a baffling essay (to me at least) on Carl Schmitt. Felt like it was explaining a very simple thing about 80 times.

Never let the longterm-y Philosopher bros loose on a concept like happiness. They have utterly no concept of what they're saying or messing with and their ethics are bad enough already.
