Can I detour a bit and point out how similar this logic is to Music Education YouTube? So much of it is "Here's some cool shit I can do, and here's an indigestible 20-minute video that will teach you nothing because to actually learn this will require 5 years of your life, as it did mine."

This was my thought. They can lose all the lower court cases they argue, but none of that matters while the SC has their backs.

I live in the 'burbs and don't travel to big cities for leisure...basically ever. I haven't used Uber in 8 years, and never at home. Ditched Prime, because we only ordered from Amazon once a month in the first place. As a suburbanite, Target has been the hardest one for me.

To continue to be lazy sacks of shit who don't actually have to *do* anything, ever. To absolve themselves of the harm caused by not doing anything last time, and create a comfortable story that allows them to think "there's nothing I can do, so why try?" next time.

I teach in a suburban middle school and run a rock band program at a different suburban high school. I just saw a Blink shirt today, and all my young musicians know the good 90s/00s stuff. My experience suggests kids listening to older music these days is roughly the same % as it was for us.

I think this underestimates the number of people in these places who also want what he wants, and are willing to let him be the tip of the spear.

My lazy analysis is that they've been raised entirely by the algorithms, and we know empirically that they promote right-wing content. How else could that have possibly turned out?

I would be careful confusing what's left of the "Progressive Caucus" after AIPAC's primary shenanigans with actual progressivism in this country. Yes, the left is in shambles, but no serious progressive sees cooperation with Trump as good strategy.

A lasting impact of his political career will have been his turbocharging of the news cycle to such a degree that bringing up something like THE MUELLER INVESTIGATION six years later isn't just old news, but is functionally forgotten.
