Here's one: an 892 can be issued with any office action on the merits and can even accompany a requirement for election/restriction, and may or may not cite prior art references submitted by the Applicant on form SB08, which is STILL called a 1449, despite the fact that these went away in 2012.

Right now there needs to be a TOTAL push to get one or both houses in '26. If that fails, there won't be anything like a free and fair election in '28.
