I take your point but when 5 short becomes say 10 and the constant breaks in play for glove changes and unscheduled drinks breaks etc slows the play to a crawl it becomes less fun to me.

Absolutely. Stokes has made a blinkered comment here and hasn’t taken the time to think about the spectators parting with their hard earned.

It’s not only a Spurs thing. I’m Chelsea and my first thought when we score first is good they need 2 to beat us.
