Wow this was a beautiful film but also I thought it was very boring and bad

Question: does anyone have $75,000 I could borrow? Because if so, Joe Rogan is potentially about to have a pretty rough evening this January

I’ve watched all 6 eps of TASK to prepare for the finale this wknd.

The show is emotionally devastating. The “task” sequences (for lack of a better term) are extremely well executed. But it’s probably a few notches bleaker than it needs to be to make its point.

Excited to see how it all wraps up.

I’ll be honest: Took me awhile to get into BLACK PHONE 2, which doesn’t have the elegant simplicity of the first film and is more of a slow burn.

Having finished it, I believe it to be a wildly ambitious, formally interesting, & emotionally rich sequel.

Bravo to @crobertcargill.bsky.social & co!

Extremely special night seeing my movie THE PRIMARY INSTINCT projected in a theater with a live audience. People laughed and cried! It was beautiful.

Picked up a Shure MV7+ mic to use on the road and gotta say this thing sounds amazing and is very easy to use. I wish the mute button was easier to access and I don’t love that you need to use the Shure Motiv app to get the best results. Otherwise tho, big fan.

This is so weird because I distinctly remember during the campaign tons of people telling me that we shouldn’t be associating him with Project 2025 so much

I loved GOOD FORTUNE (in theaters Oct 17). A hilarious movie that’s about what it means to be human and to struggle. A tight script with great payoffs and a wonderful performance by Keanu as an angel who’s just trying to help, man.

The ending was beautiful and moving and left me in tears.

SLOW HORSES season 5 (Apple TV+) is an amazing time. The gang’s trademark wit is here but the main plot of the season involves a ticking time bomb scenario that’s absolutely riveting.

There are moments that are so wild and outlandish that they left me howling with laughter. Highly recommended.

Holy crap The ALIEN: EARTH season 1 finale was a disaster. It completely jettisons that fascinating ideas introduced early on in the season in favor of a Jurassic-Park-lite-style action movie. One of the characters is ridiculously overpowered, sapping all tension. The ending is totally unsatisfying.

ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER is electrifying. Non-stop kinetic filmmaking of the highest order. An epic spanning decades that feels perfectly calibrated for our current moment. A profound statement about how ultimately, the people in the revolution are just that: people.

Best movie of 2025 so far.

In the latest episode of ALIEN: EARTH, one of the characters reads a letter from his daughter and it talks about how she wants to go to Harvard but would rather go to a school that Weyland Yutani pays for.

I'm just glad that in the universe of the movies/show, Harvard is still around.

I really wanted to enjoy THE PAPER (on Peacock). It's a love letter to American newspapers and the team behind it is great.

But it feels like it's desperately trying (and failing) to replicate the same dynamics as THE OFFICE.

You can't just build another Michael Scott or Jim/Pam at will.

UNKNOWN NUMBER: THE HIGH SCHOOL CATFISH (Netflix) is a competently made documentary about one of the most fucked up stalking/harrassment scenarios I’ve ever seen.

I felt like I looked at the true face of sociopathy/evil in this movie and it chilled me to my core.
