40 years ago in December 1985 I drew this. I worked for a wildlife charity at the time who couldn't afford to produce colour publications. Pen illustration was my forte so we were good for each other. I can't believe so many years have passed.

I took this snapshot on a rainy night in Church St just before Christmas 1980. You can see the bubble lamps. I remember the strange atmosphere in the few weeks leading up to Christmas that year and John Lennon songs playing all over town.

I remember these from the early 70s! External mic by the radio speaker, lightning fast reflexes to stop the recording before the DJ spoke and my dog providing backing vocals on many a track! 😄
