It was. Then the Afghan Whigs singer bought it (w others) - it hipped up a level or five and Dodgers-ed up at least 2 levels. Kept a back room with all the Rampart cop paraphernalia that once adorned the bar. Great spot to pre-game Banquets and tamales and then hike over Elysian Park to the Ravine…

Jury duty. Cop beat the shit out of a Watts kid whose dog was barking at him from behind a chain link fence. At selection I told the judge I’ve lived in LA 20 years and I know the LAPD so the city should save the cost of a trial and just award the kid 50 trillion dollars now. I was dismissed.
