What a piece, Walter. I also loved the movie, and you beautifully relate so much of what I loved about it. You are one of the few writers out there who elevate criticism to art, and indeed, you had me tearing up by the end. Can't wait to see the movie again, and return to this piece again.

Gunn's deftness with the material (and gift for casting) makes it almost easy to take his CB filmmaking for granted. But who else is making these movies with the level of emotion, humor, pathos, wit, action, humanity, and sense of wonder/fun that he is? What a feat. Can't wait to read your thoughts!
