The BUILD engine allows for sprites to be flattened and their shade values and palette to be changed in addition to their alpha. Basically, change a tree sprite’s palette value to a black one and toggle its alpha value to one of three possible transparency levels. If I remember correctly.

Does this have on screen level stats like many modern BUILD source ports? I’d be keen to get this if it does.
