I am on the lower end of the income spectrum, and my premiums jumped 400%.

I agree, it just seems like such a big liability for republicans, that absent the atmospherics of “caving to democratic demands” of the shutdown standoff, that they would try to vote on this quickly (but quietly— like on Tuesday afternoon right before everyone leaves town)

Thanks so much for analyzing this, and laying things out. Do you know if it has enough support to get a vote, and if so, when?

I had that exact experience! All my filtering went away. Enshittification.

It would be cool to make some tpm merch with these letters. Maybe a “this is fine“ t-shirt

What is the local place that does made to measure? Is it the men’s and boys shop on the downtown mall?

if you are getting into Ellington, the Peer Gynt suites, from 3 suites, is a masterpiece, along with the Nutcracker Suite from the same recording, and the Far East Suite is not an incredible set of compositions, it's an amazing time capsule to where the Ellington band could perform in a modern,

thanks so much for evangelizing on this! I have a HS senior, and this list has profoundly affected our search for a good quality, small liberal arts college.

We are in the same boat, with a rising senior, who wants to be in an academically rich school to study music, environmental science and writing. Looking at small liberal arts schools that are not ivies. What are y’all looking at? Very worried about this situation. I went to UVA. Bad situation

my family and I do musical bridge building work with the Appalachian and Latine community in Virginia, and grants and performance opportunities are getting DOGEd left and right. It's depressing. But we gotta push forward, and lift each other up!

Also, “love’s in need of love today” and, from fullfillingness first finale, “heaven is ten zillion light years away” and of course, “evil”

the work you do, and the stories you share, is one of the places where I find it. I know it is dark times, but what you are doing is inspiring. I find myself talking to my environmental biology curious high school junior, about stuff from your pod, all the time...

Do you have any folks in mind that would have a big tent appeal? that never Trumpers could be on board with, but that won't alienate normie Democrats? seems like a challenging assignment

OMG, I have even gone into the settings and turned it off, and it says it's off, and yet, here it is, always. Like the damn late 90's Microsoft paper clip, but actually evil!

I really like the new Washington monthly package. Good stuff on education, transportation, and self-employed worker economic policy

Please bring back, “this is fine” in these letters. Maybe as TPM merch

I did see that they have this masa at Whole Foods in town. You can also get bulk field corn at el tio and nixtamalize it yourself. It makes amazing tortillas (though more work).
