This is a two image blend: 20 secs f/1.8 ISO 6400 for the sky and 240 secs f/4 ISO 6400 for the ground. Shot with a Nikon Z7 II and a Nikon Z 20mm f/1.8 lens.

Thanks! No filters. I take one exposure for the sky and a longer one for the foreground and blend the two together.

Yeah. More than likely this was some light pollution from nearby Grand Marias.

I shoot in RAW format, so you have to do some color processing. It's not like a JPG where the camera does all the processing for you. For this image, I didn't modify the tint at all. I did bring up the colors a little bit in the sky and actually de-saturated the foreground.

You can definitely see the Milky Way in these dark areas, but you need a longer exposure to bring out the detail and color. It looks more washed-out to the naked eye.
