The American government is 'The People' as described in the Constitution. However, if current trends are allowed to continue, the USA is slipping inexorably into government by presidential decree.

His laughable pronouncements, bizarre posts on social media and inadvertently comical behaviour are a gift to late night comedy and satirical media, but they are a convenient distraction from the corrosion of legal restraints on the executive branch of government.

His own corruption is mostly limited to using the presidency for personal gain, but he has also opened the door to the darker forces of 'Project 2025' who seek not only to turn the clock back on progressive legislation, but also to set in place a federal militia to enforce compliance.

If you take the comparison to the letter, compare the storage medium of an EV to the storage medium of a combustion engine. That is to say, compare recycling a battery to recycling a fuel tank.
December 5, 2025 at 1:21 PM
No, I'm saying that the comparison in OP is not valid. They compare the recycling of batteries to 'recycling' fossil fuel. A fairer comparison is between recycling batteries and recycling combustion engines.
December 5, 2025 at 1:18 PM
I'm with you in spirit, but this is not a valid comparison. The recycling of batteries is an end of life scenario. The metals in combustion engines are 100% recyclable.
