I do wonder how much their supporters are picking up on the issues at the councils, or if they remain in denial, but hopefully that is starting to cut through.

My thoughts earlier. Even the exit polls at the GE (which are usually accurate) had them on 20-odd seats.

Not understating the danger at all but there does seem to be a bit of a trend.

I signed up for YouGov and got plenty of "what is your favourite margarine brand" questions but no political stuff after the first few weeks. I gave up in the end.

And still absolutely zero acknowledgement of the far greater number of seats they've lost to the Lib Dems. It makes no sense at all.

The 50% target under Blair was often misunderstood, it was HE in some form not necessarily university degrees. So this sounds like a major upgrade to the target - not necessarily a bad thing as long as the opportunities are there.
