Joyful exhibition of Beryl Cook’s work at the Box in Plymouth UK. Her paintings are like oral history - capturing ‘real’ people of their time. She was also open and respectful portraying communities that were discriminated against. Good for the soul.

Sad to hear that Martin Chivers has died. He was one of the players I idolised when I was 7 / 8 years old. Scored at White Hart Lane at the very first game I went to see there a 2-1 win against the Hammers Sept 74. RIP.

This great piece of art is on the side of an old club where Hendrix actually played in Forest Gate in East London Boxing Day 1966. Rumour has it the initial outline of the song Purple Haze was written / developed there that night 😵‍💫

Saw Toby Lee last night. A very special talent. Feel privileged to have been there. I’ve been going to gigs for over 40 years and seen many legends. IMO he is up there talent wise. His playing live is something else. Brilliant.
