I'm continually amazed how insecure the #MAGA whom I know are. They're afraid to admit error & are always complaining about pop culture, the media, successful immigrants, & all sorts of irrelevancies.

Which is why a broad-based liberal arts education--phil, lit, history, STEM, econ--plus fluency in a 2d language is so very very important.

Well, my grandfather was in the Indiana KKK 100 years ago because he found your ancestors a threat to him as a 17th century heritage American. He didn't like those of the Jewish persuasion, either. When are you self-deporting?

The Dems really blew it. Once they controlled Congress & the WH, they could improved all of em, just as they did with Bush's SS program. I clearly remember the anxiety my stepmother felt as she entered that damned doughnut hole.

Really? I've tried several & found them lacking compared to French wines. To be sure, French wine is more expensive but not that more expensive.

My family got ice for an icebox in our "summer house" where we stored melons & other perishable garden stuff in the 50s. We also froze food & stored it in a commercial icehouse. This was all before home freezers. And of course we canned.

I think it's one of his most attractive traits in the #MAGA sphere. So many of his supporters are insecure & fearful that they ID with his enthusiasm in acting on his worst impulses.

I watched it yesterday. I think Professor Nichols exaggerates Trump's fear. That said, it wasn't the performance of confident, secure leader who has a plan for addressing our problems. Never seen one like it in my life.

Social Security bonds are redeemed with general tax revenues. When all those bonds are redeemed, it won't cost tax payers a penny more to keep benefits at current levels. Otherwise, Romney is right about raising taxes.

What's been lacking all the time is Reps with the courage & principles to refuse to do what Trump wants. It's always been easy. I dunno why so few do. Kudos to Reps in Indiana.
