Does the man have some legitimate points, people?

All I see is negativity here— Trump won a second term preying on these young men, so surely there is a message that is worth hearing here, no?

C’mon get out of your own way for 1 second.

But start here for an article (long read) look at the colonial period and the first Thanksgiving.
Native Intelligence
The Indians who first feasted with the English colonists were far more sophisticated than you were taught in school. But that wasn't enough to save them

Check out Charles C Mann’s 1491 for a look at the Americas before Columbus (and during the period after). Also it’s sister book 1493, the world after Columbus. Absolute must-reads, in my opinion, if you live in this continent and want to know the world in a new light.

Just humans figuring things out, within a different context (almost no domesticated animals) and a different suite of flora and fauna (of which we were once categorized as in some ways! lol)

Read 1491, Native Intelligence (article), Indigenous Continent, and more up-to-date books and scholarly publications for a fuller view of pre-1492 Americas. More interesting than the ‘pristine’ nature myths, yes, but also offer lessons on some land or eco mgmt and have the benefit of being true(r)

Since you’re up here a journalist I appreciate and recommend on this site is Justin Ling. His beat is Canadian news and issues sure, but has a keen eye on the current southern right-wing populism that is migrating northward.
