Happy retiree.
Oh dear, first I'm commenting on something I know nothing about now I'm weak and clueless. I served in the Armed Forces for 30 years. We are independent of the UK government in so far as deliberately killing civilians is an illegal order and a war crime. Just following orders is no defence.

I don't want Israel to stop killing children. I want the IDF to stop killing children. There is a difference. So many Mail readers getting upset by a relatively unknown band calling for "death to the IDF" but seemingly not caring about those same soldiers shooting starving people queuing for food.

It is simply incredible that calling for Israel to stop killing children is considered crossing a line. Any other nation committing these crimes against humanity would have been universally vilified by now. I'm sure I'll be flagged as anti semetic, I'm really not, but I am anti asshole governments.

I don't see the connection between a jury of 12 deciding guilt or innocence based on evidence provided....and.....having the power to amend or approve laws

Not the worst idea in the world but, and I include myself in this, the average person is as dumb as a rock. I would rather have scientists, philosophers and free thinkers fill the chamber. The only problem with that is that anyone who wants to be there should be automatically disqualified.

Not really, there are people from all parties who are supremely unqualified to be there, don't even get me started on the clergy lol. Simply make it a nationally elected house, voted for every 10 years or so, and no constituencies, no "safe seats" and why not "no ex-politicians".
